Blackie wandered up to his foster home in the country about 6 months ago – body full of scars and very thin – he responded well to a lot of love and some food.  We think he is what is called a Lurcher – this particular Lurcher is a Greyhound/American Staffordshire mix that was bred to hunt wild hogs.  Because he does not have the killer instinct he was turned lose.  Blackie is about 18 months old – very intelligent and an awesome watch dog – he will let you know when someone or something is not right in your world.  He is extremely good natured and attentive,  He gets a long with ALL dogs, cats and horses.  He does great with people and children.   He is is heartworm negative, neutered and current on all vaccinations.  His adoption fee is $125.00.  An application can be found at  www.texasgreatdane.org
