We got an email from a fellow rescuer asking if we could help out a heartworm positive Great Dane in the Lufkin Shelter that could not be up for adoption because of the heartworms.  If we did not take him – he would be put down.  While we were waiting for the transport to be set up – we were entertained by Goliath escape stories.  He can apparently get out of anything and everything and had actually endeared himself to everyone there!  So they were extremely glad he was making it out alive.  Goliath is a 2 yr old male – a very pretty guy for a plain black male.  He loves to have his body scratched and will wiggle all over as you scratch him.  He is very affectionate and will tell you how things are going as he is quite the talker, too!
